Theoretical Chemistry

Research areas include: Computational chemistry; modelling of chemical and biological systems; QM-MM method development; and theory of biocatalysis.

Entry requirements

The standard academic entry requirement for PhD entry is normally a 2(i) UK Honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant science discipline. Students whose first degree has not been studied in English will normally have to reach a required standard in an International English language examination such as TOEFL > 577 (with 5.5 in TWE), TOEFL (IBT) > 90 (with no sub-test less than 22) or IELTS > 6.5 (with no sub-test less than 5.5) and may be required to attend a language course at the University Language Centre prior to entry
