Polymer Science and Engineering
The course is closely integrated and encompasses the research of several members of academic staff, both individually and in collaboration; the research is built around fundamental studies of structure-property relationships for polymer materials of current and future importance; active areas of polymer research include: Biopolymers; coatings and films; composites; deformation micromechanics; fibres; multiphase polymers; polymer colloids; polymerisation; polymer processing; responsive polymers.
Applicants require: MPhil/MSc by research: a 2.2 Honours degree, or equivalent in a science or engineering subject; PhD: a 2.1 Honours or equivalent 1st degree in a science or engineering subject; IELTS (6.5 with no sub-test under 5.5); TOEFL (570 with 5.0 in TWE); CBTOEFL (230 with 5.0 in TWE).
