Advanced Metallic Systems

This programme offers training for doctoral scientists and engineers in metallurgy and related disciplines.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 Honours degree or equivalent; students who do not already possess a recognised English language qualification need to take a test such as IELTS or TOEFL and attain a minimum of IELTS 6.5 (with no sub test < 5.5), TOEFL 570 with 5.0 in the TWE (Test of Written English) or CBTOEFL 230 with 5.0 in the TWE.

Assessment is by a research project.

Sponsorship information

Full Scholarships are available for eligible UK nationals and EU nationals who have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years prior to 1st enrolment; fees only funding is available for other EU nationals; full Scholarships include minimum maintenance payments of £14,000 per annum; scholarships are awarded based on the merit of each application against the applications of other applicants.
