This programme provides an in-depth understanding of the key factors that govern the structure, processing, properties and applications of advanced composite materials.
A 2.2 Honours degree or above (or equivalent) in chemistry, physics, materials, engineering and related subjects; applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL 570 with 5.0 in the test of written English (TWE) or CBTOEFL 230 with 5.0 in the TWE.
Modules include: Introduction to materials science and engineering; introduction to advanced composites materials; technical textiles; composites manufacturing; composites design; composites engineering; research project.
Assessment is by a research project.
