Advanced Manufacturing Technology and Systems Management

This programme has a strong practical orientation and it aims to produce engineers with the theoretical and practical experience to enable them to analyse and investigate problems and to engage in design, development and research involving manufacturing technology and in the management of manufacturing systems. Whilst the programme is intended primarily for those wishing to pursue an industrial career, it is equally relevant as preparation for research in advanced manufacturing technology and systems management.

Entry requirements

The standard academic entry requirement for this Master's programme is a minimum Second Class UK Honours degree or international equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline.
English requirements: IELTS greater than or equal to 6.5 or equivalent (with no sub-test less than 5.5) or IBT TOEFL greater than or equal to 90 (with no sub-test below 22)

Modules include: Manufacturing Systems, Finite Element Modelling, Research Methods, Experimental Methods, Robotics Metrology and Bioengineering, Additive Manufacturing and 3D Product Modelling, Advanced Manufacturing Processes, Composites and Polymers

Sponsorship information

One scholarship is available to the value of $5,000 to American students registered on any of the full time MSc courses in the School of Mechanical, Aerospace & Civil Engineering.
