The programme is centred on bio-interfaces, addressing issues such as biophysics conformations of inter-facially immobilised proteins and design peptides; surface bio-compatibility; controlled release of plasmid DNA; and effects of surface chemistry and topology on vascular cell growth and tissue structuring mediated by extracellular membrane proteins.
Applicant requires: PhD: a 2.1 Honours degree or overseas equivalent is required; MPhil/MSc by research: a 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent qualification; TOEFL individual written test score of 5.0, and overall total 570 (paper based), 230 (computer based), 90 (internet based) or IELTS 6.5.
Assessment is by a research project.
