Operations, Project and Supply Chain Management
The course is about how to organise the production and delivery of products and services; the course covers service, manufacturing, public and private organisations and, in particular, the challenges and opportunities arising from the increasingly global reach of the operations function; the electives provide the opportunity to concentrate on 1 or more particular aspects of operations management, including supply chain management (which brings membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply); project management; quality/process improvement; decision sciences and doing business in China; it provides training in research methods, including quantitative techniques and IT skills, which are required in both applied work in the 'real world' as well as university-based research.
A 1st or 2.1 Honours in any discipline, or equivalent; English language requirements apply.
