The course provides students with training in research methods appropriate for doctoral studies; systematic and critical knowledge of 1 specific subject area of management research (such as accounting or marketing); the knowledge and skills to appreciate the growing importance of interdisciplinary research in management; skills in analysis, argument, independent thinking and effective oral and written self-expression.
A 1st or Upper 2nd Honours degree, or equivalent; relevant professional qualifications and/or relevant professional experience are considered; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0, TOEFL 623 (paper-based), or TOEFL 106 (internet-based); a score of IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 594 (paper-based), or TOEFL 97 (internet-based) are considered if the candidate can demonstrate exceptional academic achievement.
