Entry requirements

A Master's degree, with an element of research training; IELTS 7.0 with 7.0 in the writing element of the test or TOEFL 600 (paper-based test), 250 (computer-based test) or 100 (internet-based test).

Assessment is by a research project.

Sponsorship information

Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) grants are competetive and provide payment of tuition fees and a maintenance stipend for UK students, and tuition fees (and a maintenance stipend, subject to eligibility criteria) for EU students; the School of Languages, Linguistics and Cultures also offers a limited number of fee bursaries on a competitive basis for Master's students; details are published in Feb/Mar each year.
