Theatre and Performance
The programme provides an opportunity to study cutting-edge and provocative areas of contemporary performance theory and practice, aspects of theatre history such as 19th century popular performance and theatre between the world wars, socially and politically engaged theatre and activist performance; the programme integrates theory and practice, and caters for students wishing to enhance their artistic and professional careers as well as those preparing for doctoral study; for experienced, skilled practitioners, there are opportunities to focus on research through practice and explore new creative methods, areas of social engagement, professional contexts, performance techniques.
A 1st or 2.1 Honours degree or overseas equivalent in drama, theatre studies or performance studies. An overall grade of 7.0 (with a minimum writing score of 7) in IELTS is required or 100+ in the iTOEFL with a minimum writing score of 25.
