Educational Leadership

The course aims to develop an understanding of the key issues pertaining to the leadership, management and improvement of schools and educational systems; provide relevant and current theories for examining these issues from a range of perspectives; enable colleagues at all levels within an organisation to diagnose and problem solve key issues related to school improvement.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree and an initial qualification in teaching is also required if this is not formally part of a 1st degree.

Course modules

Modules include: Leading educational change; leading learning in urban contexts; educational effectiveness and improvement; leading educational inquiry.

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a dissertation.
