Urban Design and International Planning

This course is a professional accredited postgraduate planning programme that is fully recognised by the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI). It is also recognised by the Urban Design Group. The programme aims to provide students with an understanding of the full range of professional skills relevant for planning and urban design practice in an international context. On successful completion of the programme students will have gained an understanding of the full range of professional skills relevant for planning and urban design practice.

Entry requirements

An Honours degree with a (minimum 2.1) or its international equivalent. Admission of candidates who do not meet this criterion may be approved if satisfactory evidence of postgraduate study, research or professional experience can be provided. Please contact the School's admissions office for further guidance. IELTS Test score of 6.5 or more overall, with a minimum score of 6.5 in writing and a minimum score of 6.0 in the other subsections, or TOEFL internet-based test score of 90 or more overall, with a minimum writing score of 22 and no other subsection below 20, or Pearson Test of English score of 59 or more overall, with a minimum score of 59 in writing and a minimum score of 51 in the other subsections, or Cambridge CAE or Cambridge CPE grade C (Please note that the Cambridge First Certificate in English is not acceptable).
