Transnational Dispute Resolution

The course is premised on a wide understanding of the concept of dispute. On the one hand, it focuses on the contemporary rules, procedures and practices of international courts and tribunals, including the International Court of Justice, interstate and mixed arbitration tribunals, investment dispute resolution mechanisms like ICSID, or the WTO dispute settlement mechanisms. On the other hand, it deals with mechanisms allowing the settlement of disputes which are of an hybrid nature, partly international, partly domestic.
