International Politics (International Relations)
The course units on offer cover most of the field with a significant emphasis on the critical and normative dimensions of contemporary international relations scholarship; as well as research training, the IR pathway provides students with a critical grounding in the theory and practice of international politics in an era of globalisation; the compulsory course units are complemented by core course units in global ethical and normative issues, security studies, foreign policy and international political economy.
A 2.1 degree in a social science subject, or equivalent; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum writing score of 7.0), TOEFL 623 (paper-based, with a minimum of 5 in TWE), or TOEFL 263 (computer-based, with a minimum of 5 in TWE).
