Dental Science (Clinical)
The course offers those with a recognised dental clinical qualification the opportunity to extend their research studies by undertaking a clinical component in addition to their research programme; a total of 3 sessions a week are dedicated to clinical work, which may take a variety of forms; the programme is currently being offered in the following: Restorative dentistry (endodontics, fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontology); paediatric dentistry; oral surgery; implant dentistry; dental public health.
An internationally recognised clinical dental degree i.e. BDS, DMD, DDS; plus TOEFEL score of 6.5 for overseas candidates is required.
Assessment is by a research project.
