Dental Science (Clinical)

The course offers those with a recognised dental clinical qualification the opportunity to extend their research studies by undertaking a clinical component in addition to their research programme; a total of 3 sessions a week are dedicated to clinical work, which may take a variety of forms; the programme is currently being offered in the following: Restorative dentistry (endodontics, fixed and removable prosthodontics, periodontology); paediatric dentistry; oral surgery; implant dentistry; dental public health.

Entry requirements

Applicants will be required to provide evidence of a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject from a recognised institution.
In some circumstances, relevant research or professional experience may be acceptable in place of an academic qualification.
Students whose first language is not English require one of the following: IELTS test 6.5 (with no less than 6.0 in the written component and no less than 5.5 in all components)

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a research project.
