The programme combines the taught elements and research of the Master of Science with a mandatory clinical training module; the School places special emphasis on: Contemporary orthodontic treatment techniques; research methods; and the development of a questioning approach to the speciality of orthodontics; this speciality training programme is designed for those who wish to undertake full orthodontic training, but who do not wish to practice orthodontics in the UK; when undertaken with the mandatory clinical training module, this programme is recognised by the UK Royal Colleges for the Membership in Orthodontics examinations.

Entry requirements

Applicants must show evidence of primary dental qualification from a recognised institution; evidence of citizenship of an EU country required for those claiming home student status; all applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6 in the written component), TOEFL 577 (paper-based), TOEFL 233 (computer-based), or TOEFL 90 (internet-based).
