Dental Public Health

Our distance learning Master of Dental Public Health course will help you enter a career in planning and delivering oral health services or conduct research in the field. You will use a combination of interactive online learning and project work to build the knowledge and skills you need to critically assess the evidence that underlies oral health practice. You will also learn how to use a population approach to health issues, with core course units including Biostatistics and Oral Health and Disease in Populations. Our programme is also recognised as part of training in the higher speciality of Dental Public Health and as preparation for the Diploma in Dental Public Health from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Entry requirements

A recognised primary degree in a dental subject and a preferred minimum of 2 years post qualification experience; upper second class degree in a non-clinical subject and preferably 2 years of working experience; if first language is not English, a minimum IELTS of 6.5 with 6 in the written component; TOEFL 575 paper-based, 230 computer-based or 90 iBT.
