Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry

Our Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry MSc is the first online postgraduate degree in the subject to be launched in the UK. We have collaborated with healthcare learning company Smile-on to enable dentists to learn more about aesthetic and restorative techniques to add to their own clinical practice. You will cover areas such as: •patient communication and treatment presentation; •current techniques, materials and clinical advances in anterior aesthetics; •current techniques, materials and clinical advances in posterior aesthetics; •treatment planning of the complex aesthetic case; •restoration of endodontically treated teeth. You will also gain practical experience of the following through the mandatory hands-on component of the course, which is completed during residentials in both years: •aesthetic recontouring •clinical photography •sliced veneers and ¾ crowns •restorative gingival techniques.

Entry requirements

All applicants will be required to provide evidence of a primary dental degree from a recognised institution and a minimum of two years post-graduation clinical experience is required.

The Masters in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry comprises 6 course units and a dissertation (180 credits):

•Posterior Aesthetics [15 credits]
•Complex Treatment [30 credits]
