Occupational Medicine

The programme is delivered via blended learning and is designed for all doctors working in occupational medicine, particularly those who hold specialist training posts, who intend to prepare for their professional examinations with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (FOM).

Entry requirements

A Medical degree; to sit the AFOM examination some relevant clinical experience is required; IELTS 7.0, with a minimum of 6.0 in any one component, or TOEFL 625 paper based or 263 computer based with a score of 5 in the written English test.

Course modules

Modules include: Occupational health: an overview; the scientific basis; occupational diseases I: system-related; occupational diseases II: generalised; physical hazards; occupational health: the broader context; control of workplace hazards; occupational health practice.
