Cell Matrix Research

This programme aims to elucidate the molecular and cellular basis of extracellular matrix assembly and to define the contribution of extracellular matrices to tissue function and connective tissue pathologies; to understand the pathway of assembly of extracellular matrices from their initial biosynthesis to the final mature form.

Entry requirements

A 1st or 2.1 Honours degree, or the overseas equivalent, in a relevant subject, lower 2nd Class Honours degree supplemented by appropriate relevant experience may be acceptable; IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 577 (paper based), TOEFL 233 (computer based) or TOEFL 90 (internet based).

Assessment methods

Assessment is by a research project.
