Applications in Environmental Science

The programme prepares students for continuing research in academia and industry, including environmental consultancy, aimed at understanding and addressing research questions relating to how organisms interact with the environment, and respond to natural and anthropogenic-induced change through the application of advanced methods and approaches.

Entry requirements

A 2.1 or 1st Class Honours degree, or an international equivalent, in a relevant science discipline, e.g. biology, zoology, environmental science, earth science or physical geography; for applicants whose 1st language is not English an IELTS score of 6.5 in each component, TOEFL 577 (paper based), TOEFL 233 (computer based) or TOEFL 90 (internet based) is required as a minimum.

Course modules

Modules include: Communication skills; tutorial and workshop unit; research placement 1; research placement 2 (maes); pgt supervisor meeting (msc); pgt advisor meeting (msc)-3; pgt advisor mtg (msc)-1; pgt advisor meeting (msc)-2; post graduate academic literacy programme (alp); measuring and predicting.
