Accounting and Finance (top-up)

The MSc is designed for AIA, ACCA CIMA, ACA or CPA Australia graduates and provides a means by which the continuing professional and personal needs of accounting practitioners may be met. Specifically, it extends and enhances the understanding and competence gained via professional qualification and to enhance the ability of students to think strategically about management and organisational change. This top-up course may be taken by part-time study (day or evening) in Northampton or by distance learning worldwide. Distance learning students are supported by online learning materials.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have successfully completed professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, AIA or CIMA or CPA Australia; where English is not the native language/language of instruction: IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent); if applicants do not meet these requirements, we offer pre-sessional academic English language courses and an international foundation programme.

Course modules

Core modules: managing strategic change; research methods; dissertation.

Assessment methods

The course has a mixture of assessment involving essays, reports and examinations, plus a dissertation.
