Management (Financial Analysis, Human Resources, International and Marketing)
The programme equips honours graduates from a wide range of disciplines and backgrounds with the knowledge and implementation skills to pursue a career in management. The course has pathways in international, human resources, marketing and financial analysis. All students enrolled on the programme complete common core subjects, with modules which allow them to specialise in their chosen pathway.
1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; no work experience is required for admission onto the course; applicants whose 1st language is not English must provide evidence of their English language capabilities at a level approved by The University of Northampton (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge Proficiency Certificate or equivalent).
Core modules (all pathways): organisational behaviour; marketing: principles and management; managing finance and information; dissertation and research methods. Pathway modules: international: strategic management; developing cross cultural capability; managing operations in the supply chain context; human resources: strategic management; human resource management in context; international HRM: marketing: strategic management; international marketing strategy; cross cultural marketing; financial analysis: managing finance and information; corporate reporting 1; global financial strategy; investment analysis.
The course has a mixture of assessment involving essays, research papers, case studies, portfolios, oral presentations, examinations and a final dissertation.
