Business Administration (with CIPS accreditation)

The MBA (with CIPS accreditation) is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) permitting students upon successful completion to receive full Chartered Procurement and Supply Professional status which is the internationally recognised standard for procurement and supply chain and a qualification becoming more commonly required as a pre-requisite to employment and progression within the Logistics, Procurement and Supply chain sectors. The MBA (with CIPS accreditation) is available to study by distance learning. This mode of study has been selected and tailored to meet the needs of practising senior or potential senior managers in the logistics, procurement or supply chain sectors. The MBA (with CIPS accreditation) is great for networking. Throughout the programme, students study alongside professionals from a range of organisations, industries and countries exchanging experiences, insights and best practice. Students join a community of influential tutors, business professionals and MBA alumni. Current staff and past MBA students from this university span the globe and offer extensive, diverse, cross cultural business experiences. Entry requirements

Applicants normally be expected to hold a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree of a British university or equivalent and must always have a minimum of 2 years relevant management experience. Applicants whose native language is not English must provide evidence of their English language capability at a level approved by the university. The level required for study on masters degree courses is IELTS 6.5 or its equivalent.

Course modules

Modules include: critical issues in business; management and organisational behaviour; leadership in a changing context; strategic marketing; competitive strategy and innovation; financial decision making; applied logistics, procurement and supply; business research project procurement.

Assessment methods

The programme has a combination of assessment involving practical work, essays, reports, case studies and examinations. The Business Research Project Procurement is a 15,000 word independent research project.
