The course appeals to students who possess a sound understanding of the subject and have developed a clear idea of a research topic within the field of visual culture.

Entry requirements

2.1 Honours degree; or equivalent qualification; in art history or related degree; other qualifications are considered.

Course modules

Critical approaches to art history and visual culture module (semester 1, 30 credits); criticism and display module (semester 2, 30 credits); in exceptional circumstances students may choose another 30 credit masters module; dissertation (30,000 words, semester 2 and summer term, 120 credits)
