Critical Theory and Politics

This course provides students with a thorough understanding of the close connections between critical theory and key contemporary political and social theories. It enables students to engage with this dialogue and its relevance to contemporary phenomena.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in an arts, humanities or social science subject. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Modules include: the Arab-Israeli Conflict, 1848-2004; Europe after the cold war; globalisation and its discontents; international political economy; security studies.

Assessment methods

Assessment is based on a dissertation.
