This course offers students the chance to undertake research in any field for which supervision is offered; it is an ideal preparation for entry onto a PhD programme, but may equally appeal to students wishing to undertake 1 year's postgraduate study; students agree a programme of study with their supervisor(s) which leads to the preparation of a 30,000-word dissertation; together with other students they also follow a module in research skills (generic and subject-specific methodology).
Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent in a relevant subject; applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element) or TOEFL 600 paper-based (with 4.5 in TWE) or TOEFL IBT 100 (no less than 19 in any element).
