Communication and Entrepreneurship

This course provides students with an opportunity to investigate communication in the context of entrepreneurship and business. It introduces the multidisciplinary dimensions of professional communication, exploring in detail how linguistic analysis can illuminate and enhance communication in businesses and a range of other workplaces. The principle of language study combines theoretical and ideological dimensions with highly practical applications. The course explores the role of communication in business-related human affairs using a variety of approaches, ranging from discourse analysis and inter-actional sociolinguistics to corpus linguistics.
