This is a flexible course which provides an opportunity to develop and expand upon particular historical interests; students are able to create their own programme of study by choosing particular pathways or combinations of modules from inside and outside the School. The pathways currently available reflect the research interests of staff and cover: Medieval history; modern history; gender history; British history; warrior societies; Islamic and Middle Eastern history; Robin Hood studies; if they wish, students can opt out of the pathway system in order to develop their own interests.
2.1 Honours degree in a relevant subject such as history; or a related subject; where English is not 1st language IELTS: 7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element); or TOEFL paper based: 600 with 4.5 in TWE; or TOEFL computer based: 250 with 4.5 in TWE; or TOEFL IBT: 100 (no less than 21 in any element) are required.
