Power Electronics and Drives

The course material is regularly reviewed and updated to meet the needs of engineers in industry. The course aims to provide a specialist education in power electronics, machines and drives techniques, covering key fundamental principles along with modern applications and current practices.

Entry requirements

High 2.2 (or international equivalent) in electrical engineering or closely related subject. Applicants whose 1st language is not English require IELTS: 6.0 (with no less than 5.5 in any element).

Course modules

Modules include: power electronics integration; power systems for aerospace, marine and automotive applications; advanced AC drives; advanced power conversion; technologies for wind generation; principles of power electronic converters; design and control of electrical drives.
