Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Entrepreneurship

The course provides the skills required to develop and commercialise new technologies in electrical and electronic engineering. Students have the chance to experience the steps necessary to commercialise a technical idea. It provides a basis for those engineers who wish to commercialise their ideas or graduates who wish to explore the exciting world of commercialisation.

Entry requirements

2.1 degree in electrical and/or electronic engineering or relevant subject. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 5.5 in any subject).

Course modules

Core modules: creative problem solving; finance and accounting; project management; marketing for entrepreneurs; innovation management; science, technology and business. Optional modules may include: power networks; hydrogen economy; HDL for programme logic; integrated photonics; design and technology; optical communication; ultrasonic engineering.
