Projects in the area of building technology focus on the strategies and systems used in buildings to ensure the comfort and wellbeing of occupants are met in a manner that acknowledges the need to use energy and other resources in a responsible manner. Subject areas covered include: low/zero carbon buildings, eco-buildings; heat recovery systems; computer modelling and building physics; acoustics; lighting; heat transfer and 2-phase flow; building services (e.g. heating, refrigeration, air-conditioning); indoor environmental quality (e.g. thermal comfort and air quality); ventilation/natural ventilation; thermal modelling; post-occupancy evaluation; biomimetics.
2.1 (or international equivalent). English language requirements: IELTS 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element).
