Public Health (International Health)

This programme provides students with the theoretical knowledge and skills required for public health practice, including skills to manage, initiate, implement and assess changes; aligned with Master's of Public Health, this is a specific pathway to meet the needs of students wishing to study public health with an emphasis on international health issues.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in a relevant degree with vocational experience. English language requirements: IELTS: 7.0 (with no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Modules include: advanced epidemiology; dissertation; theory and practice in public health; research methods in epidemiology with basic statistics; evaluation techniques; health care systems and management; sociology of health and illness; introduction to health promotion; international health; advanced statistical methods; health inequalities and population health; qualitative methodology and research; tobacco control interventions; health economics; health protection; data organisation and management in epidemiology (DOME): a practical course in stata.
