Public Health

This programme provides students with the theoretical knowledge of public health as well as the skills required for public health practice, including skills to manage, initiate, implement and assess changes.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in a relevant degree with vocational experience. English language requirements: IELTS 7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Modules include: advanced epidemiology; health care systems and management; dissertation; theory and practice in public health; research methods in epidemiology with basic statistics; evaluation techniques; sociology of health and illness; introduction to health promotion; international health; advanced statistical methods; health inequalities and population health; qualitative methodology and research; health economics; health protection; data organisation and management in epidemiology (DOME): a practical course in stata; tobacco control interventions.
