Physiotherapy

The course offers grounding in critical analysis and reflective practice, and equips students with the skills to evaluate contemporary professional practice. The pathway is open to all therapists and related healthcare professionals who wish to enhance their clinical skills, professional knowledge, and critical appraisal as part of their ongoing career development. Students may choose any of the specialised modules from the manual therapy or neurorehabilitation pathways.

Entry requirements

2.2 (or international equivalent) in a related subject. Applicants should have at least 2 years of clinical or health and social care experience. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Optional modules: evidence for health and social care; contemporary practices in injection therapy upper and lower limb; contemporary practices in injection therapy upper limb; contemporary practices in injection therapy lower limb; advanced practice in physiotherapy (neuromusculoskeletal disorders); work-based project in professional practice 1/work-based project in professional practice 2; teaching and learning in health and social care; contemporary practices in manual therapy 1 (upper quadrant); contemporary practices in manual therapy 2 (lower quadrant); movement science-based approach to stroke rehabilitation; innovations in neurological rehabilitation; leadership in health and social care.
