2.2 degree (or international equivalent) in a related subject. Applicants must be working in mental health and social care or associated independent sector agencies; applicants without a 1st degree may be considered for the course based on clinical experience and previous study subject to approval. English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in each element).
Modules include: fundamentals of cognitive behavioural psychotherapy; cognitive behavioural therapy for depression; cognitive behavioural therapy for anxiety and related disorders.
Assessment of module 1: essay of 3,000 words maximum, case report 1 2,000-4,000; assessment of module 2: case reports 2 and 3, 2,000-4,000 words each; assessment of module 3: case report, 2,000-4,000 words. A portfolio of clinical work is kept, and marked at the end of each module on pass/fail basis.
