This course is approved by the British Psychological Society (BPS) for accreditation towards chartership in occupational psychology, and students applying must be eligible for BPS Graduate Basis of Registration; the course has been designed to provide students with knowledge of the main areas of occupational psychology, to provide good research skills, and to cover the relevant social, psychological and organisational issues and to introduce the skills required in practice; the course has been approved by the Training Committee of the Division of Occupational Psychology (DOP) of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and gives exemption from the Society's Postgraduate Certificate in Occupational Psychology (PCOP); chartered status in occupational psychology is achieved by demonstrating: sound knowledge and understanding of the 8 core areas of occupational psychology; practical application skills in 5 of these areas; competence to practise independently in 1 of the 4 fields of practice of occupational psychology.
Entry requirements: 2.1 (Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or international equivalent) including 1st degree in psychology that is recognised as providing GBR with the BPS; proof of GBC (Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership of the BPS) must be stated as a condition of any offer; IELTS:6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element); TOEFL IBT:87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing.
