Bioinformatics

This course provides students with the advanced skills and knowledge needed to carry out research in the interface between computer science and biology; it specifically focuses on the applied element of bioinformatics, providing students with the opportunity to undertake their research project in areas such as food security (e.g. crops, farm animals and microbial pathogens) and bioenergy.

Entry requirements

2.2 (or international equivalent) in a biological science or allied discipline. Relevant workplace experience may, in some circumstances, be accepted as qualification for entry to this course; English language requirements: IELTS: 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).
