Brewing (Optimisation Using Technical Approaches)
This course is designed for individuals in the brewing and allied industries who would like to develop problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve brewing process and beer quality issues; the course is suitable for those wishing to advance in a production or technical management career and individuals with responsibility for the implementation of technical governance.
Honours degree in an agricultural, biological or other relevant science; applicants whose 1st language is not English require TOEFL 550 (no less than 4 in TWE) or IBT 79 (minimum 17 in any element), or IELTS 6.0 or above with no less than 5 in any element.
Brewery waste management and environment issues; brewing microbiology; beer flavour and development and sensory analysis; beer analysis and quality management; packaging of beer.
Assessment is based on a written test.
