University of Nottingham
The group carries out research into the physics of the very early universe; research focuses on the cosmological consequences of string theory, finding realistic particles physics modules of inflation, understanding the formation and evolution of topological defects during phase transitions in the early universe, as well as probing the nature of dark energy in our universe; 1 aspect of the research is that it leads to real overlaps with both the astronomy research and the quantum gravity research based in applied mathematics.
