Marketing

The course is designed for students with some academic background in marketing and management studies who want to enrich and extend their existing knowledge. The modules in the 1st semester of this course provide the foundation for a more detailed examination of marketing principles and practice in the 2nd semester, as well as helping students to analyse existing research in the discipline.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in any discipline, including business and management. This course is not suitable for students who have previously studied a significant amount of marketing. English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Semester 1 core modules: consumer behaviour and consumption; marketing management; marketing research and analytics; strategic marketing in the digital economy. Semester 2 core modules: research methods. 2 modules from: branding and marketing communications; contemporary theories of marketing; international marketing; new product/service development and management. 1 module from: e-business; innovation management; launching new ventures; technology entrepreneurship; tourism and sustainability.

Assessment methods

Assessment is a combination of individual essay or group project and written examination.
