Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Management

The course is designed for students looking for careers in business and management. It will also interest those who may start their own business or who may take over a family business. The course involves high levels of participation and guided practical learning to translate entrepreneurship, innovation, creativity and management theory into practical management skills. Students examine case studies, are taught by visiting entrepreneurs, attend lectures and take part in team working, business simulations, group projects and presentations.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in any discipline; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Core modules: entrepreneurship and creativity; entrepreneurial finance and accounting; entrepreneurial management; marketing for entrepreneurial firm; entrepreneurship project. 2 from: corporations, power and society; e-business; globalisation, business and development; launching new ventures; innovation management; managing for sustainability; managing international business in China; technology entrepreneurship.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include the dissertation.
