Corporate Social Responsibility
The course combines advanced teaching and learning in management with modern thinking in corporate social responsibility; this combination allows progressive learning at the leading edge of knowledge in the general discipline of management studies and socially responsible business; the programme enables students to study organisations, including private, public, and not-for-profit organisations, their management, and the changing external environment in which they operate, students critically evaluate the core business disciplines at an advanced level, while applying business ethics and corporate social responsibility issues across all management disciplines; the course is offered in conjunction with the School's International Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility (ICCSR).
Honours degree or a relevant professional qualification considered equivalent to a 1st degree; IELTS 7.0 (with a minimum score of 6.0 in each individual element), or TOEFL with a score of 600 in the paper-based test and 5.0 in the Test of Written English (TWE) or 250 in the computer-based test with 5.0 in the essay rating, for those whose 1st language is not English; TOEFL also requires a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) of at least 600 with an Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA) score of at least 5.0.
Business ethics; strategies for corporate social responsibility; corporate governance and social accountability.
Assessment is based on a dissertation.
