Industrial Engineering and Operations Management
The course focuses on the management of manufacturing and distribution enterprises and associated activities; competitiveness in many industries is increasingly reliant on manufacturing excellence; this course (together with the related operations management and manufacturing systems and operations management courses) prepares managers who are able to help their companies build a competitive edge based on high levels of technical and managerial competence; the courses aims for a high level of integration between management techniques and the technologies which they control, with emphasis on the strategic relevance of solutions.
2.1 (Upper 2nd Class Honours degree from British University or international equivalent) including engineering science or business; IELTS:7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element); TOEFL IBT:100 (minimum 19 with 20 in speaking ).
Modules include: introduction to managing operations; quality management and quality techniques; supply chain planning and management; design of operations facilities; management science for decisions support; operations strategy.
