Industrial Engineering and Operations Management

The course focuses on the management of manufacturing and distribution enterprises and associated activities. This course (together with the related operations management and manufacturing systems and operations management courses) prepares managers who are able to help their companies build a competitive edge based on high levels of technical and managerial competence. The courses aims for a high level of integration between management techniques and the technologies which they control, with emphasis on the strategic relevance of solutions.

Entry requirements

2.1 (or international equivalent) in an engineering, science or business related subject; English language requirements: IELTS 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element).

Course modules

Modules include: introduction to managing operations; quality management and quality techniques; supply chain planning and management; design of operations facilities; management science for decisions support; operations strategy.

Assessment methods

Assessment methods include a dissertation.
