Economic Development and Policy Analysis
2.1 (or international equivalent) in economics. English language requirements: IELTS 7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element).
Modules include: microeconomic analysis; macroeconomic analysis; economic policy analysis; economic data analysis; advanced macroeconomic theory; international macroeconomics; behavioural economic theory; experimental methods in economics; labour economics; income distribution and poverty; trade analysis and policy; global environmental issues; applied money and finance; financial economics; behavioural finance; development policy analysis; development microeconomics; options and futures markets; decision-making under risk and uncertainty.
Modules on this course are mainly assessed by examinations at the end of the semester in which the module is taught. Some modules are also assessed on the basis of coursework. Students also complete a dissertation.
