Mentoring and Coaching

This is an online course designed for anyone in school or college who has experience of being mentored or coached as well as those who have experience of being mentors and coaches themselves; the course aims to: promote learning through critical reflection on and research into students' practice; impact positively on students' practice as mentor/coach and consequently on the learning of the student's mentees and the students they teach; provide students with an enhanced understanding of the mentoring/coaching process in schools and colleges; develop students' ability to critically evaluate research evidence on mentoring/coaching; develop students' understanding of different research approaches to mentoring/coaching.

Entry requirements

Students would normally be expected to hold an Honours degree at 2.2 or above, or its international equivalent; students must have an interest in or experience of mentoring and coaching; if English is not students� 1st language, students must achieve an overall score on the British Council IELTS test of at least 6;5, with no less than 6;0 in each element, or a TOEFL iBT score of 87, with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing.
