Entry requirements

Good Upper 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent; high level of previous training in geography or a related discipline, or relevant Master's degree; 500-1000 word statement of research proposal (including aims, methods, sources and location); applicants whose 1st language is not English require: IELTS 6.5 (with at least 6.0 in all elements), or TOEFL 573 paper-based/230 computer-based (with at least 4.5 in TWE).

Course modules

Research focus is on river management; sediment transport and channel morphology; climate change indicators; drylands geomorphology; landscape ecology; there is also a strong emphasis on the modelling of environmental dynamics (forced and natural) over a range of time scales through the Quaternary and Holocene.
