This course is for students who wish to experience what it is like to do a PhD without the requirement to undertake 3 years of study; students can also opt to take up to 60 credits of postgraduate modules to complement their research activities; the course enables students to conduct in-depth research into a science or social science focused aspect of geography; the creation of a major supervised research thesis forms the basis of the course, but students may also elect to undertake optional taught modules related to their research.
Students would normally be expected to hold an Honours degree at 2.1 or above (or its international equivalent) in a social science or humanities subject; IELTS:6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element); TOEFL IBT: 87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing.
