Politics (Research Track)
This course aims to give students the methodological tools necessary to study politics at advanced level; the course has 3 elements: research training, subject-specific training, and generic skills training; the research training component equips students with essential research methods skills; the subject-specific core modules concentrate on providing students with an understanding of the main theories and concepts employed in political science; generic skills training provides guidance in particular software applications, career-related skills such as CV building, oral presentations and class teaching.
2.1 Honours degree; or international equivalent; where English is not 1st language IELTS: 6.5 (no less than 6.0 in any element; or TOEFL paper based: 573 with 4.5 TWE; or TOEFL IBT:87 with no less than 21 in listening, 22 in reading, 23 in speaking and 21 in writing
