Human Resource Management

This is a vocationally focused part-time course designed for the needs of HR practitioners who want to consolidate their skills and knowledge whilst building on their previous qualifications and experience. It will provide you with the generalist grounding for the HR profession. However, you can choose to upgrade your qualification via our Master's degree which equips you to operate effectively at a strategic HR level. The course is also offered as a collaborative programme through Chichester College.

Here are the units you will study over the two-year period: Leadership Skills and Management: To provide you with the rigorous framework of knowledge and understanding concerning people development and management in order to become effective managers, managing others fairly and effectively and increasing levels of engagement, commitment, motivation and performance. Resourcing, Learning and Talent Management: This unit will equip you with the knowledge and skills required for effective people management, including the practical aspects of recruitment, selection, employee retention and dismissal. Managing Human Resources and Employment Relationships in Context: By studying this unit you will gain an understanding of the employment relationship, and how it applies to public, private and third sector organisations.
